Dr. Michael Tornow, DMD

Dr. T. has been very involved in dentistry and has lived in several states. He graduated from Brigham Young University in 1995 and moved to Portland, Oregon, to attend dental school at OHSU. He graduated with high clinical honors in 2001. While in dental school, he received the Health Professional Scholarship from the United States Air Force, which kept him from incurring tremendous debt. He is very grateful for the time he served.

After dental school he was accepted to the Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency at Langley Air Force Base in Hampton. Virginia. There he learned from many dental specialists, which he is very grateful to have been associated with, especially General (Dr.) Roosevelt Allen. Over time, he became very proficient in wisdom teeth removal and I.V. Sedation. As a general dentist he has completed over 9,000+ I.V. Sedation procedures.

He and his talented and lovely wife, Jennifer, are inseparable. They have seven adult children and one grandson. They are very proud of their children’s accomplishments and enjoy spending time with them. Jennifer accompanies Dr. T as he removes wisdom teeth for Dr. Wilson’s patients.

They are passionate about humanitarian dental service. Every three months they are blessed to serve on humanitarian trips to Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, and the Dominican Republic. They treat orphans, those with limited economic resources, and teenagers that are preparing to serve LDS missions. Any opportunity to serve is a blessing. As Jennifer and Dr. Tornow will tell you, “Love changes everything.” The world needs more acceptance, understanding, kindness, and love.
